Contemporary Yoga For Fitness.

Yoga is the unification of the mind, body, and spirit for the over-all result of self
awareness and relaxation of the mind.  This is achieved through methods of poses,
controlled breathing, and meditation.

As Contemporary Yoga Instructors, our intent is to offer a fun, safe, and supportive
environment in which clients can participate in mind-body fitness experiences that are
challenging, inspirational, and fulfilling.  We will practice yoga postures (Asanas), basic
breathing (Pranayama), and techniques for better relaxation and stress reduction.
Defining Yoga

  • The stilling of the movements of the sub-conscious mind.

Hatha Yoga.
Is the umbrella term for the type of Yoga taught in health clubs or in private sessions today.  Hatha Yoga is termed as
the physical path.  This suggests that this type of Yoga is basically a physical fitness program that uses Asanas for the
purpose of improving strength, flexibility, posture, and to develop mind-body awareness.  

Of course the above mentioned modalities are superficial. You'll discover that Hatha Yoga is much more than a
physical program; It's a mental practice, an introspective practice, and possibly even a spiritual practice, that will
somehow change you for the better.


Personal Private Yoga Training in Chicago.
We offer One-on-One sessions, or you may build a group of friends and loved ones for private group yoga sessions.  
Group sessions can be much more enjoyable and motivating, and can be quite cost efficient by sharing the price of a
session.  We can also add short yoga programs to supplement your weight training and cardio routines.
